Don't worry, the second half of the Orb of the Monkey is on the way! I started work on that today. I just wanted to get another food one out. I decided to do another strawberry because why do something good only once? I also wanted to try a different strawberry texture and use it over a larger area as well. Plus I wanted to use some ideas I had for the story.

Story: She was told that it was an interview for a simple job of sampling hair and body care products. She liked the idea of being able to try out all of this stuff before her friends, and be paid for it. The amount that they were going to pay her for this was quite a deal, too! She showed up for the interview in her favorite dress and heels. She had her wavy, red hair down and her confidence was up. When she got in the room with the interviewer, he said that since they were low on applicants she automatically got the job. He then said that if she wanted to, she could start working immediately. She thought it over briefly and decided she had no where else to be and she would get more paid hours. She accepted. They brought her to a white room with a white reclining chair. Today she would sample a new way of distributing moisture without having to rub anything all over yourself. It would just simply be though eating something injected with a secret formula. She was confused as to how that could possibly work, but it was part of the job. They brought in a small, foldable table and a bowl of strawberries. They left her alone in the room after instructing her to eat up.
She picked up a strawberry and inspected it. She could not find where they injected anything. It seemed to be just a normal strawberry. She ate it. It tasted like a normal strawberry, too. She ate another. Then another. Several minutes later, she had finished the bowl. That was when she noticed her hair had turned green. Her whole body itched like crazy. She tried to resist the urge to scratch at first, but it was just unbearable. She scratched deep and hard, frantically changing location. She tried to itch herself by rubbing her back on the floor. It was unbearably annoying. She looked at herself to see that she was now turning red. Could this just simply be a big rash from the itching? The itching stopped and she noticed her skin swell up just slightly all over herself. She was freaking out. What was going on? What lousy side effects are taking place? She noticed that little tan pimples were popping all over herself, sporadically. The pimples, after spawning, would then pull the skin back into herself slightly. Before she knew it, they had covered her entire body.
Her heart was racing. What was going on!? As if in answer to her question, a panel in the wall slid aside to reveal a mirror. She now knew what happened. She transformed into some kind of human strawberry! How could this be possible? Could the formula being in a strawberry affect this? Or was this intentional? Were they trying to make her into this? Why else would they keep a mirror hidden until later? Why else would they be so short on applications to where she just gets the job? As these questions and more came through her head, a door opened up behind her. A voice over an intercom said "You are free to go home. We will be in contact for check-ups." She strolled out of the room and down the hallway to an exit. But how could she live in this world as a strawberry? Would people not freak out? In the end, it did not matter to her. As long as she accepted who she was (and maybe her closest friends to keep her company) she could live as a strawberry. Plus it may be fun to see people's reactions. Still, she stuck to the sides of the streets and hallways while trying her best to fit in with the crowd. It was not easy, but it was not difficult either.
