Story: A gasp. A step back. A mouth wide open. A scream. She was scared. She was scared because siting there on her desk is a mouse. Stupid mouse caught her off guard. She wasn't scared anymore. That surprise passed. Now she just wanted to get this mouse back where it belongs. "Dad! One of your test mice are in the guest room!" She was staying for a week with her dad. It was almost Christmas and she was in town to celebrate with her family. Her dad was a scientist of sorts. He has been dealing with manipulating DNA. He has never tried anything on a human, yet. It is all on mice.

Her dad came into the room. "Just pick it up and bring it to my lab. I want to show you what I've accomplished." She looked at the mouse. She was very reluctant to, but she went up to the table and picked up the mouse. It squirmed a bit in her hands and then decided it may as well just enjoy the ride.

She entered the lab with the mouse. Her dad told her to put it in the open cage. As she approached it, the mouse seemed to realize what she was doing. It did not want to go in the cage. It bit her. She exclaimed in pain and the mouse was released onto the table to scurry away freely. She did not like that mouse. "Are you okay?" her dad asked, worried about which mouse bit her.

"Yeah, it's just the bite of a mean mouse."

"He doesn't like cages," he said. He then started to stare worriedly at her. "Don't scream.. but your hair turned white.."

She gasped. It did. Her once brown hair was now snow white. She looked around for a mirror. Once she found one in the room, she ran to it and watched it. Her nose was now pink. She put her fingers on it, making sure this was happening. Her hands were now starting to turn pink as well. Whiskers came flying out of her face. She watched as her ears started to stretch out of hair and just keep growing. They grew and grew until they were almost as big as her head. She started to scream. The transformation seemed to stop. She seemed to be missing fur and a tail. She waited a moment to make sure and then she ran to her father and embraced him in a hug. "What is happening?" Before an answer could be said, she started to slip through his arms. She saw the room seem to slowly move as she began to shrink. She was not shrinking that fast, but it was happening. Within ten seconds, she was 2 inches shorter.

She started to tear up in her eyes. She tried not to cry. Her life would never be the same. He tried to calm her down, not knowing what was happening nor how to fix it. He let go of her and started to look around the room for some kind of answer. What would have caused this? What could fix this? She grabbed on to her clothes to keep them covering her parts as she was now not able to fit in them. 2 minutes passed and he gave up. She had not stopped shrinking. She was now 3 feet tall, and she was still shrinking. She suddenly started shrinking faster. Within a second, she lost another inch. She lost 2 more the next second. She lost 3 more the second after. She was scared. Her clothes became way to big to hold on to. She jumped out of her clothes before she got buried. She kept her arms over her parts. How small would she be? The shrinking began to slow down. She was now 1 foot tall.

Her dad found the solution. He grabbed the formula he created while she shrunk and put her hand on the ground to carry her daughter. She climbed on. It was thrilling. It was almost as if she was flying. A smile was seen across her face as her huge ears started to flop around. She got  off his hand and onto the table. He put down a dish with the formula n it. She started to drink from this. After a minute, the effects started to kick in. Her spine felt ticklish as a mouse tail grew out. Things seemed to only be getting worse. White fur grew from every inch of her body until she was covered in it. She was now a full zoomorphic mouse. It wasn't over yet, though. She grew! Within moments, she was now 2 feet tall. She lept from the table before it was too late. After a minute passed, she was now normal height. She rushed for her clothes. They were awkward to put on with new ears and a tail in the way, but she managed. She looked in the mirror. What she was was how she would look for life.
